Good Evening Change Makers!,
We’re just a few hours away from Election Day 2024, and I hope everyone’s as excited as I am for what’s ahead. Tomorrow, we’ll have the chance to choose leaders who are ready to represent our city, to stand up for our families, our friends, and our communities. Whether it’s for mayor, council, or other offices, each candidate has stepped forward with a vision for Vallejo, a commitment to making a difference, and a willingness to serve, no matter the outcome. Let’s take a moment to recognize that dedication.
It’s been a campaign with both highs and lows. We’ve seen some of our candidates show remarkable resilience, while others have revealed their flaws. And as Michelle Obama famously reminds us, “When they go low, we go high.” But in this context, I think “going high” means not just rising above, but elevating ourselves to meet every challenge that comes our way. We expect the same of our leaders: that they’re ready to rise to the occasion and guide our city forward.
Vallejo, our city, deserves leaders who will advocate tirelessly, who will push for change and fight for the well-being of each district. So no matter who you’re voting for, take a moment to thank those candidates who have entered this race with good intentions. They’ve committed themselves to us and that’s something we should acknowledge.
Let’s head to the polls tomorrow with confidence in the power of our collective voice, grateful for the candidates who’ve shown up for Vallejo and eager for the future they’re helping to build.
Thank you, Vallejo, for caring, for showing up, and for believing in our community’s potential. Let’s make this election count.
Very beautiful, I look forward to whoever gets voted in!
I look forward to casting my vote today. Also, I enjoy reading your blogs.
Although the mail in ballot is an option, I never miss an opportunity to vote in person on Election Day. It’s a great feeling and I like to see my community in action. Great post!
Amazing writing! Very Inspired to vote!
